New knitting pattern: Shaun

Introducing....

Shaun
Shaun is an adorable soft sheep toy inspired by the BBC Shaun the Sheep children’s show. This is not a  true copy of The Shaun, but he looks a good bit like him. Shaun is quick and easy to knit, shaped by short rows and requires hardly any yarn. A perfect stash buster project! Standing 7 inches tall and eight inches long, Shaun is knit in pieces and then hand sewn together. By placing heavy quarters in the bottoms of the feet, Shaun also stands up by himself--perfect for a children’s toy.

A couple months ago my parent's introduced Kaylee to the BBC children's show Shaun the Sheep.  Made by the same people as Wallace and Gromitt, Shaun is very cute and hilariously funny. Just a little kid's show about a farmer, his trusty dog and his flock of sheep. The best part? NO words! Just funny sheep and what Kaylee calls "dancing music". ;-) Anyway, Kaylee loves Shaun and even though we don't have TV or even Netflix anymore, she still gets to watch the show when she goes to Nene and Papa's house.

This pattern was commissioned by Kaylee and she kept tabs on it the whole way. I wish she would nag me about all my patterns I design because I'd get them done a lot faster! It was worth it though because she hasn't put Shaun down since I gave him to her. Below is what I've seen all week. She even sleeps with him. So sweet. :-)
